A absolute essential for ps3 players
So this game is about stopping emperor Tachyon (sp?) From bringing back the cragmites. Some enemies do drop blood when they die. In one part of the game, the phrase "unleashing a galactic can of whoop a**" is heard, but you can avoid hearing that by turning off gadgetron help desk in the gameplay settings menu.

The Beginning of the Ratchet and Clank Future Saga
The first in the Ratchet and Clank Future series, this is a promising and must have title for fans of the series and PS3 owners.
Violence is frequent and cartoony. Variety of cartoon weapons. Ranging from RPG's, Flamethrowers, bombs, Snipers and so on. Green or orange blood is seen after killing certain enemies. Language is mild and infrequent. Mild language such as "damn" is heard.
Use of drugs and alcohol is mild. Characters reference intoxicating drugs.

Brilliant
Always loved this game from when I first got it. Been playing it over and over for years and never noticed the bad language. Lot more fun than all the modern, realistic shooters. Has fun, cool weapons, crazy aliens and a boatload of fun gadgets.
Some monsters may scare young children, but it's suitable for a wide range of players.

Awesome
In my opinion, Tools of Destruction is a great game. I always enjoy playing it, especially in Challenge Mode (second play-through after finishing the game, except really hard)! However, there is some content which may not be appropriate for younger players: Violence - Upper Moderate (2.5/5): Quite frequent use of weapons, including flamethrowers, bombs, electric whips and more. There is also sometimes blood, it is cartoon-like and other colours (green, purple and orange). Language - Mild-Moderate (1.5/5): One use of the a word. Alcohol/Drugs - Moderate (2/5): There are occasional references to "grog", an alcoholic drink. The character walks into a bar filled with kegs. One character is implied to be an alcoholic.
My Rating: 10+
Anyway, great game. I would recommend it to anyone in sci-fi and adventure.

Great game, with a low amount of questionable content.
Content:
Off for ages: 1-6
Pause for ages: 7-8
On for ages: 9 and up
Positive messages: 0/5
Positive Role Model: 0/5
Violence: 3/5: Humorous and unrealistic weapons, and a wrench are used heavily during game-play. Violence is pretty prevalent, but due to how unrealistic it is, it's fine for most. Blood is present, but in small amounts.
Sex: 0/5: Some minor innuendos, but very few are present.
Language: 2/5: Occasional use of mild language. Word used: A**
Consumerism: 0/5: Ads and billboards throughout the game, but none for real brands. Consumerism may be considered an underlying theme of the game.
Drinking, Drugs and Smoking: 2/5: Some references to intoxicants, but very few are present.
Safety and Privacy: No online
Quality:
Ratchet and Clank: Future: Tools of Destruction, offers one of the best experiences on PS3, even in 2013. The action elements are great, the weapons are excellent, and the story is compelling enough, and very funny, and will keep you interested for a while. The uses of Sixaxis are excellent in this game. The graphics aren't too shabby for being from 2007. This game is easily one of the best PS3 games. If you own a PS3 but don't have this game, or have a son that's at least 7 (or is impressionable enough to know right from wrong) that wants this game, then by all means get it.

Bad language but really good
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a fun, sci-fi action adventure game filled with epic boss battles, cool enemies and what I like about it, is that it can be a non bloody third-person shooter and a third person melee adventure. This by far is my favorite installment in the series because of it's action, and comedy. There is only a couple of bad things: One, is the language used, like a**, and crap. Another thing is the violence, which isn't that bad but with some aliens you have to kill, they squirt out a little bit of green blood, then there are a couple of bathroom jokes, so if you think your kid is ready for that, then I highly recommend this to anyone who loves sci-fi.

Not for Young Children.
Ratchet and Clank is a great game, but parents should take note of the content of this game: Mild Animated Blood, Mild to Moderate Animated Violence, Infrequent Mild Language and Mild Alcohol References. Not suitable for young children.

GREAT GAME!
They say there is language, there is not I played through and love the game and the is nothing bad at all unless you are super strict there's humor you might think is not good. It's really not bad at all and you will love this game.

Great game.
I love this game as much as the others. The game is constructed as a sci-fi fantasy type, with space pirates and a hilariously tiny tyrant that makes up the main antagonist. There are a couple of shady characters (such as the smuggler), and the occasional coarse language (such as the help desk describing the destructive capabilies of a certain weapon). Overall, lots of humor and fun. It also provides a good plot. I'd call it movie-like one minute, game in another.
