"Beijing Bicycle" was an alright film. In my opinion, I think that people who dislike this film don't quite understand the point. It's basically a modernized version of the 1948 film, "Bicycle Thieves" but with a unique touch of adolescent angst and social commentary. It is a very slow film that is frustrating and makes you shout at the screen thinking the characters will hear you. However, I think it's perfect because the way you feel while watching this is exactly how the characters feel -- frustrated. It also shows the differences between classes. It comments how rich people have it so simple and having too many clothes is one of their only struggles. Meanwhile lower classes struggle with so many other things. The film also shows how a simple item like a bicycle holds so much meaning and importance because it's a status symbol. The bicycle is supposed to make each of the character's lives better but all it does is create even more destruction.

Beijing Bicycle wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't horrible. This movie in a sense of showing the reality of growing up in a lower economic country, is great. It showed the social class of the students, and specifically *A* student. This student needed his bicycle so dearly so he would be able to keep his job as the mail man. Throughout the movie, it is a battle between two people since they are trying to keep their lives from suffering.

I rate this movie a 6/10. Overall I thought the movie was good but I didn’t really understand a lot of the things that happened. For example I don’t think you would be bullied for not having a bike. I personally thought that this movie was pretty good but it could have been better.

I love this movie

This movie really showed the struggles of people who just moved to this country or are sadly not in middle class or higher. This movie is about a boy who’s life depends on a bike, this bike helps him contain his job to pay for future stuff or rent but he soon looses it. This movie shows the struggles of others life and how something so little can mean a lot to someone else. I really enjoyed this movie because I got to see how much of a advantage I had that I’m in middle class because it was truly sad knowing that people have to depend on something that I don’t care about. I really enjoyed this movie I would give it a 9/10.

Great movie

Beijing Bicycle is a great movie overall, some violence and blood but overall a fun watch. Make sure to check the age rating before you watch it with children, and make sure that they understand that it is just a movie beforehand as some of the things shown in this movie are inappropriate for very small children. It depicts smoking in a very bad way, showing it in a positive light.

The movie overall is a good movie about a lower-middle class man trying to keep his good job. However, everything goes badly when his bike is stolen, which threatens his job. Turns out, a kid bought it off some shady guy. It has a bit of bad language but it is a good movie.

I really enjoyed this movie because of how there were challenging moments to change the story. Some things I like about this movie is how it shows a lower class person going through obstacles to get what he wants. Just like how Lin had to deal with someone stealing his bicycle and this is the only way he can work. If he can't work then he can make money to survive and the bicycle is the only way he can do the job. I really liked how this movie did this because it kept me interested in what is going to happen. Another thing I liked is how it showed everyone's thinking and both sides. I liked how it started with Lin having it perfect and having everything he needs to do what he has to do. But then this changed with him getting bullied and hurt by jain and a group of people and he couldn't do anything about it. Jian was doing this so he can be happy and impress his friends and crush. Then after this he got to work with Jian so they can both be happy. I like this because it shows both sides of the movie and people like how some people have it bad and some people have it good and this shows a good meaning to this movie. Some other things I liked about this movie is how the story was told. Some things this story was good at telling is how it did not leave any key events about anything. Like how it didn't leave out why Jain stole Lin's bike or why they both need it. This helps everyone understand what is happening and why, which is very important. With everything happening with the story, characters, and moments this movie made me like it and was very good.

This movie is an 8/10

Beijing Bicycle is about a country boy moving to the city and wanting to work hard and be successfu. He starts working as a messenger but he needs a bike. He borrows one abd he has to pay for it so he can keep it full time. However, a poor boy also needs a bike to impress this girl he likes and to be more popular. They both have the same bike but the poor boy stole it from the country boy. Luckily, the country boy has found his bike but he has to go through a lot of challenges to get to it. I can't help but feel sorry for the boy because everything Is going wrong for him. I feel even more sorry for him when he gets beat up because the poor boy pissed off a rich kid. His bike got beaten up as well as him for no reason. This movie had a good plot and exposition but I felt like the climax wasn't quite there. Although they got beaten up and the bike ruined it didn't mean the end of the world. The end of the world would be if the bike got stolen again from the two of them. Although it did get me laughing when he hit the rich kids in the head with a brick I would have to get this movie a 8/10

“Beijing Bicycle” was quite a good movie. I like this movie because you don't know where it's going until the end, and the bike represents much more then a bike. This movie also represents modern neo-realism, since it is about a poor country boy trying to make it in the city. this movie is good for about 11+ mainly because of one scene toward the end with some violence and a bit of blood.
