Country is where I chose to live as well.

I watched this movie and it was great. I guess you have to appreciate the story line in order to enjoy it. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion...but not entitled to tell me what mine should be. I loved it. There are certain kinds of movies for different age groups. Myself, I love the country...it is quiet and serene. I think this child finally found the peace and friendship he needed. He did finally see how much his father genuinely loved him. It seemed with the loss of his mama on his mind, he could not develope a relationship between he and his father. Close to the end his father realized a small country town holds more caring and love then anyone could imagine. He was convinced as the community came together, when his boy went missing, that this was where he wanted to be and so did his son. I will say it again...I really Loved it. To each our own my grandad used to say. 5 stars in my book.

Worthwhile, wholesome, principled centered, memorable, family & individual focus

Story unfolds around the life of a country town led by the main characters of a Doctor and his pre-teen son moving in as a result of a life changing experience in the city . People making the difference results from the power of selfless service , initiative and hope . True story adapted for the screen from the stories in the book The Window of Childhood by pediatrician Dr Olson Huff. Curious find: Netflix’s 2019 Virgin River series based on Virgin River novels by Robyn Carr is a direct take off story wise from this movie known by 2 titles - Simple Things/ Country Remedy. The Netflix TV series and Carr’s books inexplicably take heavily without any credit given to this original story The Window of Childhood by Dr Olson Huff .
