Eh... it has an ounce of nostalgia... that's about one of the only positives.

Misty Island Rescue is a 2010 TTTE special/movie directed by Greg Tiernan and starring Michael Angelis, Michael Brandon, Ben Small, Martin Sherman, Keith Wickham, and William Hope. Language: None. Sex: None. Drinking, Drugs, And Smoking: None. Violence: Suspenseful moments with near collisions. Positive Messages(3/5): Messages about teamwork and hard work paying off. Positive Role Models And Representations(2/5): Thomas is rude to many engines, and doesn't take responsibility until the end of the film. Quality(opinionated): One of Thomas' weakest features, with quite poor characters, bad alliteration, and more. (My rating) G

THIS MOVIE SUCKS SO MUCH.

Misty Island Rescue is such a garbage movie. Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand were the most annoying characters throughout the movie. One of the characters named Captain didn't even get much screen-time either. He only had one line in the movie and that was it. Just, please don't watch this movie if i were you. I mean sure kids will like it. But for me? No, just no.

One of the poorest Thomas and Friends Special

This is one of the weakest specials from Thomas and Friends and its writer, Sharon Miller. I know Thomas and Friends is a kid’s show, like a lot of people say all the time, however how Thomas and Friends differs from other kid’s show (at least originally in The Railway Series) is that the stories are based on real life incidents on railways. In this special however, the story is completely unrealistic, especially that stupid “shake shake bridge”. Another thing that is absolutely terrible is what I call “railway racism”. Thomas discriminating Diesel without any reason is a terrible moral to kids. I know this racism thing became worst in Day of the Diesels, but it started from here. I know steam and diesel have their grudges towards each other since Diesel first arrived on Sodor back in 1958, but the steam engines had reasons to hate him, but here this is plain racism. And also the ridiculous overuse of rhyming and alliteration is just terrible and you’ll grow bored of it very soon. Parents, please don’t show this to children. Instead, let them read The Railway Series, the book series that started the whole franchise. The stories in The Railway Series are a lot more enjoyable, realistic and educational.

Thomas the poet...

Seriously! He's pretty much speaking in rhymes the whole movie! Great messages, fun characters, but not my type of movie. And Bash, Dash, and Ferdinand were just too silly for my liking. To see my favorite part of the movie, watch the beginning credits, and enjoy the awesome music that accompanies them! (Honestly, that music is my favorite part of the entire movie.)
