Intense but Intriguing

Very unique story line that I have never seen done before. Great mystery themed show that has you asking questions after every episode. You almost could just binge watch the whole thing in one sitting because it is so suspenseful. The topics are quite tricky but the way it is told should be fine for most teens. Some teen characters are seen drunk and high. There is weed and alcohol present. Some swearing but nothing that is too crazy. The topic is too intense for Younger viewers. But as for teens, they have probably already seen and heard about similar topics. The last episode is very intense and talks about suicide so it could be triggering for some viewers. As for sex an adult is caught cheating on their significant other. The story is based off an adult man in a relationship with a minor. There is nothing shown that is inappropriate just the topic that some parents might be uncomfortable with their kids watching. (I think it is probability best for mature 13 year olds)

Spooky

If you don't like to be scared don't watch. I don't recommend for anyone under 16 and even that is pushing it. Strong topics are covered that can be scary and triggering for viewers. watch at your own risk. The actual plot was thrilling and a true horror, if you get scared easily stay away. Don't watch alone or at night.

Cruel summer

I was surprised at first people are rating it 12+, 13+ etc. but I watched all the episodes and I absolutely love it. There’s little use of language (crap, ---k, ---t etc. are heard) and little mentions of sex and grooming. There’s one scene where two characters lay in bed together after sex. Kate and Mallory smoke weed in a bathtub and characters (mostly Kate) get drunk. There’s a lot of violence that could be triggering(kids in confined spaces, guns, abuse) but it’s not that bad.

Not what it seems

It is a good fast moving show that reels you in but there are a couple problems. There was a significant amount more sexual themes and more drugs than then in the review. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this show for young teens as it could be quite triggering and had a lot more inappropriate content in it then portrayed in the reviews. Also, while this is not a major issue, there were no good role models either.

Really good mystery Show!!!!

This show is so good. Keeps you guessing until the end. Normally I would put lower because there isn't much violence. But, there is a mention of sex. But nothing is shown. Overall great series and will keep you up at night thinking about it. I recommend greatly.

really good show!

this show is really good! for what I have watched I haven’t seen many to any inappropriate scenes. There is one violent part where a teen boy punched a girl once in the face and gave her a bloody nose but other than that this show is well rated and perfect for a 13 year old to watch!

Cruel Summer

This show completely depends on the maturity level of your child. Some kids are more mature than others and don’t get scared as easily as others. This show is mainly about a teenage girl and what her life is like before, during, and after being kidnapped. Mystery, suspense, and mild violence are in this show. Fowl language is frequently used throughout.
