Inappropriate language

I had always thought that this harmless fun, but I recently heard a swear word in an episode in season 2. I even went back and checked this with the subtitles on and my fears were confirmed. This is completely unacceptable on a programme rated as a U. My suggested age rating is due to this language issue, though I recognise it's been made for much younger children, around 5 years and upwards.

Bad

Little children should not be watching this show because they are not mature enough for the violent people in this show. I couldn’t handle this show because it was soo ABUSING.

Better than Barbie...

My daughter discovered this show on Netflix, and I've watched several episodes with her. I don't like watching a lot of kids shows with her, but this is one that I don't mind. It's good a feel-good message to each episode, with some okay examples of "doing the right thing". It can be a little dramatized at times, but honestly it's nothing I feel is that out of the ordinary for kids t.v. shows. I appreciate that there's no bad language and that there is nothing remotely sexual in this show. Overall, I feel like it'a a better option for my 6-year-old than the barbie movies and t.v. show she always wants to watch, but I'm also sure there are other better options out there I'd choose if it was my turn to pick the show. The predominant theme I see recurring in just about every episode is about being a good friend and teamwork.

Its 11+

I noticed girls in this looks bit grown up and kids showing affection to opposite sex. I guess its not giving anything to kids. Its probably making kids more cliquey or fashion freak or something similar. I don't recommend this ..sorry !

Uhg... Where do I even start with this one?

This show has really missed the mark. While the animation is pretty good for a TV CGI kids show, the writing is a different story... It looks like they were going for a feminist approach except without knowing what the heck they were doing. There's an episode where they are working as a pit crew with these "cart-like" vehicles and it seems that the racing theme is used alot BUT for girls who are supposed to be into something that is usually a "man's thing" they sure don't behave like they are truly into mechanics. They are shown to not know what they are doing and it's just the wrong message to send people in general. What I have picked up from this show is that girl's find men's hobbies to be so complicated that they have to be told that the tires go on the wheels which is a no brainier for most young children. The girls are airheads and even though they do good deeds I suppose they are also the "dumb blonde" stereotype in personality. Did I mention that even though different skin tones are represented, that the darker skinned characters are the dumbest and also most selfish characters? Yes Lego, please teach our children the "truth" of how black people are stupid, greedy people who are scared of everything and the first ones to abandon their friends (I'm being totally sarcastic but that's the vibe I get).

A little too grown up for young kids

My 7yr old daughter loves Legos and has Lego Friends sets so I let her watch the show on Netflix which was a mistake. The girls are dramatic, stereotyped, cliquey and "Barbie-ish". I'm sure there's a well-intended lesson in there somewhere but the drama and their "grown up look" was too overpowering.
