Man,woman and wild !!

No wonder this program has bad rating .. All animals living in the wild, go through so much struggle to survive, and bring up their babies...they have to adapt and learn to survive not only against other animals, but even the humans animals being killed by humans for various reasons to make money And now they do a stupid programme like this where they hunt poor innocent birds , deer and even eat the birds eggs which they hatch with the greatest difficulty. From building the nest to hours of hatching ....the poor birds eggs are eaten by some stupid human for a damn TV show???? Can't humans do something good and make a show based on that... Isn't that why humans are regarded as humans and not animals...??

Disgusted!!

I think this program is disgusting. Killing constantly and wasting, it doesn't teach children moderation and care for the things around them. All Isee the two idiots doing is killing and smashing and chopping down whatever is around them! I so happened to watch an episode on t.v where they boiled eggs... Not even batting an eyelid that they'be boiled alive babies. It's totally heart-less. I understand its a survival show, that I get! Really, people find all sorts of things "entertaining" but what I don't get and DO NOT agree with the way the two of them carry on. In a situation like that, you EAT to survive, not to just kill and waste. No feelings,no care for what's around them, that teaches children to treat the environment incorrectly, to treat animals and other humans incorrectly. With all honesty I am disgusted a show like this, with those two Ding-Bats is aired.

Good lessons and role models for kids

My little girl watches this with her dad, and then they play "Man Woman Wild." She's pretty sensitive to scary things, but she seems to understand the concept of preparing to avoid and react to real dangers. Although the husband, trained in survival, generally leads, in the second season he seems to take more suggestions from Ruth, and they always work as a team. The wife is resilient, smart and brave, and this show is a far cry from most representations of women on TV.

Lacks Some Zing but Educational Nonetheless

I watched a couple of these episodes and found that it just didn't have the same zing of other survival shows. I realize that these individuals receive outside help from the camera crew and such, but I feel this show makes it too obvious. I believe that because a woman is on the show that more luxuries are taken. They already enter into the wild with fully sharpened machetes for example. Anyhow the dynamics between husband and wife can get heated especially when Ruth doesn't do what Myke wants. Overall, it's an okay show.

Man, Woman, Wild

A very well-created survival show that teaches not only how to survive in various wildernesses, but also teaches equality and teamwork skills. Some people think this show is sexist becuase Mkye just happens to know more about survival than Ruth. But in reality, Myke is there to teach Ruth how to survive. Thats what the show is really based off of (the intro to the show says it all). There is no sexism going on in this show, they both work together as a great team and never put eachother down if one makes a mistake.

PERFECT FOR TEENS AND ALL ADULTS WHO CARE ABOUT THEIR SURVIVAL!!!

I think any of us who have never had to survive on our own can learn so much from this show. They are truly an authentic couple out in a survival situation. He is so patient with her who is truly a person with little knowledge of how to survive in a survival situation. You know...I'm a woman of 72 years young. My husband and I have traveled to many places. The survival techniques I have learned from Man - Woman will be very useful if I ever need it. How to build a shelter, build a fire, hunt food and look for water. We have enjoyed this show so much.. Hope it will be on again. We love both of them. LOVE THE SHOW. I think Ruth is such a wonderful lady and he is such a gentle gentleman with her...BRAVO!!! We

My 4 year-old's new favorite show.

We appreciate this show as something we can watch together as a family. My 4 year-old loves it and wants to go into the wild and catch her own food and survive when she gets older.

I watch this with my 14 year old daughter and my 24 year old daughter and we LOVE IT! It is fascinating and educational and it is one of the few shows we watch together. Myke and Ruth are an exemplary couple.... they are respectful of each other... Mike is always protective and puts her safely and well-being alwasy ahead of his own. She is incredibly proud of his skills and knowlege (as she should be!) and she is alwasy positive and inquisitive and gives 100%. I think their love of each other and their complete cooperation and teamwork together is EXEMPLARY! How anyone could complain about anything in this show seems beyond me??? I've never watched MAn vs Wild because it isn't interesting.... sure, men like physical challenges... but it doens't engage me at all. This show is different!!! I can relate to Ruth and like to picture myself in her situation- I'm sure I could never measure up her No-whining, stay positive, try to learn something new everyday attititude. I don't think anyone under 13 would be particularly interested in this show but there is no reason any age couldn't watch it! WATCH ONE EPISODE and you'll be hooked.
