My new binger!!

The first thing I have to say is.... wow. Amazing show. Like I have no words. Im going to be honest with you, I have never seen a soap opera in my life, but this was the perfect one to start with. WHY I GAVE THIS 4 STARS: The show is long. VERY long. Each episode is 1 1/2 hours and there's 16 of them. The plot is really slow but trust me around episode 3, it starts to get action-y. In the first episode, there's four plots going on at once, so it's hard to keep up, but they all tie in together. SEX: I'm very surprised that there are no scenes that should be skipped pertaining to this subject. All it is is one character says "I need a shower." to her lover (who is having an affair) and it is IMPLIED that they go and do some naughty things. Nothing is shown. Yeoung-Ro and Soo-ho kiss a couple times but nothing passionate. VIOLENCE: Now THIS is why the show is TV14. Most of the plot revolves heavily on a hostage situation. As dark secrets are revealed about everyone in the university, the darker the plot gets. Countless instances of peril and tangible pain, depression, and fear. Constant shootings, stabbings, hand to hand combat, and spillings of blood. MANY instances of blood. Throat slicings, torture tactics, and beatings are so emotional. Ex: Old man gets beaten because he was defending his son, who was also getting beaten. Another example: Soldiers are shown in a flashback training to be NK Assassins. One of their jobs is to run up to people attached on poles and brutally murder them by... yes... slicing their throat. Blood splatters on their faces and bodies and is not hidden. This was one of the more gory scenes. Most of the show is just stress, such as characters holding guns to other characters heads (usually these are emotional, psychological scenes of internal conflict) and bawling their eyes out, and the viewer doesn't know if the victim will die or not. I'm going to go ahead and tell you that this never happens. It's just for the pace of the show. But it is really stressful. The violence is the main thing I would worry about. LANGUAGE: Frequent uses of mild language (b*stard, da*n, h*ll, God's name in vain). Other uses of language are sh*t and son of a bit*h, but these are infrequent- perhaps used once every 3 or 4 episodes. OTHER: As mentioned above, a man has an affair with a woman much younger than he or his wife. She's cunning and tries to seduce him throughout the show. Also, there are heavy discussions of Kamikaze missions (such as during the hostage situation-- "We need to blow ourselves up. The hostages will die anyway.") and really emotional discussions between families such as divorce, remarriage, death (one main character's brother passes and father gets shot and it's really sad-- character goes into states of depression), and "honor" for their country. The last one-- yes, I know, it doesn't sound bad, but most of the characters think that suicide is the most honorable way to die. It's also a heavy thought throughout the plot. (pretty much tying in with Kamikaze missions) To conclude, this show is DEFINITELY not for kids. It's not on the kids profile for a reason. In most countries (you can check IMDb for this), the rating for this show was 15+ to 16+ which is the equivalent rating between PG13 and R. This doesn't take away from the amazing plotline and story, but you need to get tissues ready. It's a very heavy story (it won't seem like it at first but it will get there, trust me) and shouldn't be taken lightly. This is based during the peak of the revolution between N and S Korea but isn't based on true stories. Highly recommend though. EDIT: I originally had this rated as 14+, but i changed it to 15+ because the last episode was extremely heavy and sad. It was bittersweet but it felt like I should have pushed the age rating a bit. Now I can officially say... one of the best shows I have ever seen. Bravo!

Great but quite a lot of violence :)

This show is really good don't get me wrong I've only watched the first episode and there's already so much happening there are already four plots now and a LOT of violence like seeing a person stabbed with a metal rod. Other than that It's really good especially for the BLINKS seeing their beloved Jisoo in the show.

AMAZING

I love to watch this show with best friend. If you are into the top k pop group BLACKPINK you should really support one of their members Jisoo because she is the lead role. My friend and I are both BLINKS (Mega BLACKPINK fans) and we love watching Jisoo in this!

Really good show would recommend it to lots of people

Watched the show show and it was really good and its a tearjerker for sure going to have unexpected twists and makes you want to watch more of it. And if you need to know where to watch it it's on Disney+. And if you're wondering why I put great role models it's because in the show they figured out how to get out of a lose-lose situation alive . And it also only like one kiss and that's really it
