Communication to solve problems and use common sense.

For long, one of the best kid`s series of the last decades. It is focus on STEM and solving problems as a team, as a family, being among brothers or with parents as should be for kids. Congrat! to the creators keep going with this kind of content.

Nice stem but really bad sexism

Definitely sexism. Notice the only ones waving the sexism aside are harping on other people's reviews. Sorry, the sexism definitely exists and it's more than just portraying "the norm" for some families. Example, the reputation of the woman scientist all hinges on how well she dresses the man scientist and she literally faints when the iron gets ruined (which... in my occupation thats not my focus in the lab and shouldn't be anyone's, sorry). And no, that the mom is a dentist makes the comment about the kitchen being her office even worse. The episode about the doll explains girls play with dolls because they're inherently predisposed to and have the job of being mothers via cooking and cleaning and doing the laundry. Hockey is explicitly stated to be a boys game multiple times that girls just don't enjoy. Blondness is deemed "beauty" and it never gets addressed that's not necessarily the case. That's not even addressing the lack of diversity. The stem aspects are great and was happy to see my son watching something with such a technical aspect but then quickly became disappointed. I'll stick to Storybots I think until he's a bit older.

Educational as well fun. Good for 5+

The Fixies is a huge step up on some of the programs my eldest (6 years old) watches - we're forever having to restrict what she watches on YouTube because there's no moral or educational benefit. Through The Fixies however, she's actively learning whilst enjoying watching it - I know this as she'll regularly describe how things work to me, so the knowledge is sticking! Also, from an adult perspective, it's not anywhere near as irritating as some programs aimed at children young school children.

Sexism against males

There's a lot of sexism against boys, while everyone's talking about sexism against girls! In an episode called "The Helicopter", at the end of the episode the female fixies of the fixie school come to the conclusion that boys are "never serious", "always silly" and "stupid". That's not all! In "The Talking Doll" (which came before "The Helicopter") the girl fixies go inside of the doll and changed the recording to "Now I'll show you what happens to dumb boys!". And Toola, the yellow fixie, said: Look who's crying now! Other than all of that, this show is good and has very easy-to-understand messages and is very educational.

Sexist Gender Roles

Sexist/gendered stereotypes about moms who are good at staying home and cooking, boys not liking dolls, etc. Skip it for something else with better messaging.

This show teaches problem solving and includes that failure is sometimes a part of the learning process. Very educational. My 7 year old thinks it’s the best!

Nice Russian cartoon

Based on the logic of people writing reviews, such cartoons as: Frozen, Rapunzel, The Little Mermaid, the lion king, Beauty and the Beast, the AristoCats, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs demonstrate sexism and racism! As for the PeppaPig in which she vividly demonstrates the image of the lying, harmful and envious protagonist which Mom who does not work and sits at home (sexism) The episode when Peppa calls the sheep and asks if the sheep knows how to whistle, the sheep tries to whistle and it succeeds and Peppa hangs up the phone in response ... Bravo! As for Ben and Holly, all of whose heroes are sneaky. And the fact that laziness is their everything! the above cartoons do not teach anything good! Fixies is interesting and instructive cartoon, I did not see any sexism. Tom Tomas mom is a dentist btw

Inappropriate for preschoolers

This show might be okay for older children who are able to understand that the jokes in this show are just jokes and shouldn't be taken seriously or carried into real life. The outdated stereotypes, teaching kids to be sneaky, basically everything all the previous reviews have mentioned. It made me uncomfortable to hear what was being taught to my 5 year old on this show, so I had to block it.

Sexist

My 4 year old likes this show. Some of the lessons are cool. It seems like this show is meant for young grade school kids. But, now that I’ve watched a few episodes I’m not comfortable anymore. The scientist’s assistant has an unrealistic sized waist and giant breasts that sometimes appear as if you can see nipple outlines. An episode today used the word “stupid” to explain a negative behavior. Next episode I saw was talking about the most beautiful girl in class who used her damsel in distress act to get what she wanted in class and she could be really bossy sometimes. What century are we in?

It has a lot of educational value but it's quite sexist

I was look for a show for my younger cousin and I found the show, it's quite entertaining for a young audience. My little cousin has learned a lot from it. The only thing bad about this show is the sexism. It implies that a woman's office is the kitchen and that they should stay home and cook while a man should always be at work. It's sad that children's shows still give these messages.
