What's the Story?

THE OPEN ROAD WITH DR. CHRIS is a reality series starring Dr. Chris Brown, an Australian veterinarian who travels around the world to go on eco- and urban adventures, learn about local cultures, and look at exciting animals. From waterfall jumping in Tanzania and chasing the aurora australis (southern lights) in southern Australia, to visiting a special wolf pack in Canada, Dr. Chris uses the opportunity to share what he learns with audiences along the way.

This fun and colorful host-centered reality series showcases the world's most interesting phenomena. Some destinations are quite well-known, but Dr. Chris manages to find interesting but lesser-known attractions to highlight. However, the real fun comes when he explores more remote locations, many of which are located in his home country of Australia.

There are some teachable moments, including trivia quizzes offered during each episode. But The Open Road is mostly about highlighting the environmental wonders and interesting people and customs of the places visited. It's certainly family-friendly, and may even get you thinking about your next vacation.
