Trollz

I decided to watch this show after seeing many positive reviews about it. I thought it was gonna be good, and was it good? Nope. I cringed so hard while watching because it’s just like any other late 1990’s-2000’s TV show aimed towards girls. It heavily relies on stereotypes like this: “LeT’s hAnG oUt aT tHe maLL!” oH mY gOsH! tHaT bOy iS sOoOoOoO cUtE!” The characters aren’t that great either, Onyx is the only one I actually like because she’s nice and cares about her friends. Amethyst is okay but she doesn’t have much character besides being a nice person. Topaz is just your stereotypical dumb ditzy blonde character and I find that really sad because she looks like she has so much potential but the writers just blew it. Sapphire is a stereotypical nerd. Just why is it so hard for people to write smart characters? You can’t just say anything that’s related to math and science is only for the hyper-intelligent. That’s why I love Kyle Broflovski from South Park because despite him being smart and very studious. He is also the tough one of the group, and he knows how to throw hands. Kyle would very easily beat up Sapphire if they got into a fight. And Ruby is such a bitch and she overreacts over the smallest things and she’s so mean to her friends. Like in the first episode when she thought that her boyfriend was cheating on her with Amethyst when all she did was talk to him and Ruby even proceeded to KICK HER OUT OF THE GROUP! At least she apologized for her mistake but that doesn’t mean I like her. She’s definitely the worst character in the entire show. The villain sucks too. He’s literally just some brat kid that the show proceeds to treat as a great threat, but nothing he does makes me think that. The jokes go from stale to just plain weak. The good thing about this show is the songs. Especially the theme song, it slaps SO HARD!! It’s so catchy and it definitely doesn’t deserve to be in this show. I wouldn’t recommend watching this show. I just wish that this show was as good as the theme song.

Ok I still watch this show. Even though it's not that good. While CSM is definitely overreacting, it's not good either. It's so vapid that even Barbie would have a hard time watching it. The plots are dumb as well as most of the characters, who are the most boy-crazy teens I've ever seen. There's only one good main character, Onyx, who's a blunt, edgy goth and the only character with a functioning brain, though I'm not sure if that was intentional. Amethyst has no personality and is there for no other reason than looking normal and being a protagonist. Topaz is dumb. Sapphire has no common sense despite being the smart one and is so disloyal that she'll ditch her friends for any and everything. Ruby is a very toxic friend and should be deleted from existence. (like seriously how is she even a protagonist?????) Not even the villain is good. Just some bratty kid with the copypaste animal sidekick. So yeah, it's not good, you shouldn't watch it, but I still enjoy it. The theme song is a banger though, it had no right to slap that hard.

Geeze, I didn't know this show was bad enough for even common sense media to put it as OFF, I've seen MUCH worse shows that are still in the green zone. I think its cute and I personally like the show, I highly doubt it would affect a child at all, its not that horrible. Although I'd suggest clothes that aren't tang-tops and mini skirts, but nothing is revealing, what is there to reveal? They're pretty much flatchested.

Parents need to know that this have forgotton a TV-PG rating, it features it's not TV-Y7 or TV-G, which CSM doesn't recommend for kids under 9. 18 is ok.

i am a boy. yes i am. i am 10. but i think girls should not watch this. the show is about these 5 little girls AKA:"trolls" who love going to the mall. and have really big hair. the hair is okay. but the show is just a big long advertisement for trollz dolls and going to the shopping mall like most stereotypical girls. but..is it any good?? no. its boring stereotypical and just..not good to watch.
