What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Angelina Ballerina's New Ballet Teacher is an interactive storybook app based on an episode from the Angelina Ballerina TV series. The story contains great lessons for kids about accepting changes and being open to new ideas. There are several music video clips from the TV show that can be viewed as supplements to the story, but the book can be enjoyed without them. The app also features coloring book and jigsaw puzzle sections.

Is It Any Good?
Even if the only thing ANGELINA BALLERINA'S NEW BALLET TEACHER did was present its read-along story, it would be a very good app. The tale is beautifully narrated with smooth and lovely interactive animations. The words are highlighted for easy following along, and the tappable hotspots are clearly marked. But the app has a lot of great extras, including five fully animated music videos that show original songs fitting into the book's story. Plus there's the great glossary that can be accessed any time ballet terms appear. The coloring book and puzzles are pretty standard, but it's nice to have them here, too. All in all, this is a fantastic package.
