What’s It About?
Jelly Doodle has a very basic premise -- kids are tasked with filling a jelly mold with the correct mix of ingredients. This process involves using various mobile phone controls, including tilting the phone, tapping the touchscreen, etc. The game also ensures that kids follow directions appropriately, e.g., so they do not overfill the mold. This is designed for a young audience, primarily for those who have had limited exposure to mobile devices.
Is It Any Good?
For what this app is designed for, JELLY DOODLE hits a home run. It is made with a very young audience in mind, with a simplistic idea and presentation. With the intuitive motion controls -- e.g., tilting the device to pour the jelly into the mold -- and the basic touchscreen gestures to select the ingredients and make the mold bounce around when it's complete, virtually anyone can use this app to its fullest extent. That being said, its fullest extent is not very extensive, so more seasoned app users will find little to hold their interest.
