Community Guidelines

The Community Standards are not realistic for dancing, or having fun. It has become a platform for promoting hate speech, and sexual abuse.

its not that bad.

the parents on here are really reaching. this app is wonderful to make friends, laugh, have fun, and more. sure, there are revealing stuff and curse words, but its nothing your child hasn't already seen. sit down, and let your kids have fun.

Do not use tiktok

This is absolutely gross! My daugher did this “devious licks” challenge at school and she got expelled. NEVER LET YOUR KIDS USE THIS APP.

It’s completely harmful to anyone 15 and younger!

Tik tok is a tool that is reshaping and redefining popularity and it’s just not worth it for kids 15 and younger. The difference between talent and sex appeal is apparent as long as you have hips and are willing to show them or shake them you can get all the likes and followers you want! These kids have better things to do than to be swayed or manipulated by the content this app boasts! It’s completely a waste of time if your not promoting or selling and it’s going to be hard to do either because of the guidelines that only some tokers have to adhere to! It’s unfair It’s biased It’s manipulative It’s demotivating It’s Completely useless to anyone 15 and younger

This is what I think on TikTok. (Daughter has it)

Hi!! I have a daughter who is 12 and she has been begging me for TikTok. My first response was no because it is unsafe. But she kept begging me anyways so, I had to dig deeper into this thought. In this app, you can accept who you want to text. So basically, my daughter agreed to only accept her friends and family. You can also block people. My daughter blocks random strangers that text her like "Hey cutie!!" If you are worried about your child posting don't be. You can make your account private so only your friends and family can see your videos. And you can accept who follows you. My daughter's account is private, and she only messages her family and friends and only posts appropriate stuff to her friends and family. TikTok will personalize videos based on your age. If you are 9 years old, you will get videos like slime that girls like or like bike riding. If you are going into your teen years, there is relationship advice and tips for a healthy morning routine and things for girls that they call aesthetic preppy which is basically like teen beach style. And when you are an adult, you can see anything else on there.

Disgusting and sad

This app isn't good I had this app since 2016 yet lately I've seen in searches about twerking and sex even I seen 12 and 11 year olds on it. Also I've seen other users bully other users saying they must be trans or ask them if they are a boy or a girl and others as you think of.

Dangerous challenges, and no thinking mindless scrolling.

Well, at first we look at the tik tok app as a fun way to spend time. Then we find ourselves scrolling endlessly for hours at a time through some kids screaming on our screen. Yes. We can learn stuff from it, well in proportion of 90% there is just useless videos in there, but, the other 10% is actually useful. I heard countless challenges that are life threatening, and could kill you child, + did you know the app spy on us? It tracks facial features, and keylogging! You could get a data leak from tik tok. I feel like shorts is much better for you kids than tik tok.
