Great execution, OK plot, not the best characters, down right terrible main character.
This is an amazingly crafted book full of rich descriptions, characterizations, and positive messages. However, the characters all possess a mindset of the early 1900s - the rich ruling and handing the unfortunate wealth. The main character, Sara Crewe falls from being the richest child and being almost worshipped to being mistaken as a beggar. Yet instead of going on a "Charles Dickens" path and talking about her hardships, Burnett gives Sara a crippling case of extreme superiority complex. Becky, the scullery maid who is driven like a slave, is treated by Sara not as a friend but as a maid. She calls Sara "miss." How could Sara, even after falling so low treat her like that? In the end, instead of taking Becky as a friend, she is employed as a mere maid. On the other hand, she treats the richer - and stupider - Ermengarde with more respect. This is a terrible message for young children.

This book was very well written, and portrayed the life of fictional character, Sarah Crew very well. The story was well thought of, and everything was well planed.

Such Amazing Writing
This is by far one of the best books I have ever read, and that's coming from someone who has read hundreds of amazing books in their life-time. Anyone who can/wants to read it should. Living without reading this book would be a mistake.

13 year old kid
I grew up reading the classic starts version, and wow, this book is so good. Literally every sentence could be quoted from "I try to be nice, but how do I know if I really am?" to Are you trying to learn me by heart-no I already know you by heart. You are INSIDE my heart.

The Little Princess
I really think this is amazing! It takes place in England of 1899 and is based on a girl named Sarah who is sent to a boarding school because her father is going on an expedition! Then Sarah later finds out her father died in an accident and she gets turned into a maid to pay off the rest of her schooling. I really recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good "old-timey" storyline and is interested in getting into the lives of the rich and poor back then.

Really good!
This book is definitely one of the most elegant and vivid books I've ever read. It is amazing in each and everyway. I read this book at the age of 10, and it moved me. The ending was perfect; I loved it. I think you should be at least 10+ to read this and fully enjoy it. Something younger kids don't understand is how perfect some books are, an how well it is written. I recommend this book to anyone who is willing to read something sad yet happy altogether.

Such a sweet book; with strong role models/positive messages
I greatly loved this move. It had strong messages and role models. Sara is a non-selfish, sweet, and nice girl. She may be treated roughly but she uses her imagination to make things "better". I loved this book because it was sweet and awfully amazingly. There is strong messages about: treating others, being kind, showing love, and much much more. This book does have some deep description which may be hard to follow the book. I suggest everyone 8+ to read this book.

The Best!
This is the best novel I have ever read! Little Women is a close second to this. I am almost irritated that I had not heard of this book sooner and only found it by chance while browsing Amazon’s library. It teaches very good values and has wonderful role models to look up to in it. It is such a captivating book that I wish I had been able to meet the author myself. Please do not waste a moment to begin reading this book! :)
