Definitely check trigger warnings before reading
This book was amazing. It was also dark, really dark, featuring topics like domestic and se*ual ab*use, parental death, drugs and alcohol, and other deep topics. But it was also a very good story, and I was engaged from the beginning. Great book, definitely read

The age at which you read this definitely depends on your maturity, I was 13, but that definitely would be too young for some. It's a powerful novel and covers many difficult topics such as abuse and sexual assault.
