This book was OUTSTANDING! I laughed, I cryed but most importantly, I learned a lesson! In this book it talks about how a girl from Haiti moves with her mother to Detroit to try and find a better life, sadly in the airport her mother gets detained. As Fabiola try’s to bring her mother back to “ the other side “ Fabiola also faces trouble in her neighborhood, and a tenn romance. If you love learning about racism and what it’s like to be an immigrant, this is definitely the book for you! I hope you definitely read this review because , this book reminded me of ‘ The Hate U Give ‘ by Angie Thomas, because the quality was so well written, I really felt like I was in Fabiola’s mind!

I gave up on the book, even though it has a good story line.
