What's the Story?
After a tragic ending in Beautiful Chaos that left Ethan in a ghostly version of his hometown between life and and death, he must figure out how to get back to Lena. His quest in BEAUTIFUL REDEMPTION is to rip out the page of The Caster Chronicles that bears his name to free him from the Otherworld and return to our world. Lena and Ethan can't live without each other, and so they each enlist the help of ghosts in the Otherworld and Casters in the real world to find a way to bring Ethan back. Lena risks everything to save him, but what is the cost to their friends and family?
Is It Any Good?
This engaging read returns to the Southern Gothic feel of the first two novels in the series. It explores the afterlife, ghosts, and risking everything for love. We also get to see the world of Gatlin and the Casters through eyes of both Ethan and Lena. Beautiful Redemption is not a fast-paced novel, but it's still interesting and has the same charm of the other series installments. Beautiful Redemption ties up all the loose ends and brings some stories full circle. Readers will get to learn more about Ethan's mother, Lila, and see other well-known characters who have also passed on.
Readers might be saddened by one extremely popular character's death. However, this death and the plot of Beautiful Redemption underscore the overarching theme of the Beautiful Creatures series, that the power of love can conquer all.
