In the tradition of classics like The Giving Tree and Where the Wild Things Are, this wordless adventure is beautifully illustrated with emotion, heart, and whimsy. The positive messages and story of friendship at the center of Bunny & Tree are wonderfully paced. Broken up over 10 acts, the journey that Bunny and Tree set out on teaches them communication, togetherness, friendship, teamwork, and courage. Throughout their tale, it becomes clear that Bunny and Tree are always thinking about each other. They consistently look out for one another, help each other, and communicate, even though they don't do so with words. Together, they conquer each obstacle thrown at them, finally finding a home for themselves.

The art is wonderful and painterly, with a certain movement to it, effortlessly providing emotion and heart throughout its pages. By the end, the language of the book has long made easy and flowing sense, and the final lessons of providing for friends, building community, and living harmoniously with nature clearly and organically shine through.
