What's the Story?
It's Valentine's Day and the familiar trucks leave sweet notes for one another in CONSTRUCTION SITE: YOU'RE JUST RIGHT. Each rhyming note says what's special about the truck that's receiving the valentine (readers can see each note under a flap), and asks if the receiver can guess who the sender is. Readers can see the truck that sent it hiding nearby and identify it. There's a little twist at the end, when the reader gets a valentine, too.
Is It Any Good?
This warm Valentine's Day story shows good friends exchanging notes of appreciation with one another. Construction Site: You're Just Right emphasizes what's special about each truck and how each one helps the whole team of trucks complete their tasks. The story models kindness, communication, friendship, teamwork, and gratitude with a light touch. And kids will have fun flipping the flaps.
