Tales From A Satisfied Mom...

My 11yo really enjoys this book series. This book is no different. The familiar characters (Dorothy, Alice, Red Riding Hood) that look like Nikki's pals from home really made my 11yo interested. Nikki does go into a brief coma during gym class after getting PURPOSELY wacked in the face with a dodegball by Makenzie Hollister. Why did Makenzie hit her in the face? Because of some CRAY-CRAY DRAMA! Wait until your kids are older (7 and 8 is still too young) to let them read this one. My 6yo is terrifed and hides her sister's book all the time.

Too much violence

The book is fine, but I don't like the way Mackenzie Hollister acted. Instead of playing tricks or telling lies, she slammed a dodgeball in Nikki's face. My 10 year old daughter and my 9yo niece love this book. But my little one saw the picture of the wolf going after little Red Riding Hood and had nightmares for weeks.
