A good, clean introduction to fantasy
This is a really clean book, with almost little to no violence. Great for a younger audience as well as for older kids who enjoy good clean fiction every once in a while. If you have seen the movie, it doesn't do it justice. The book is so much better than the book. However, not everyone may find it interesting.

My Most Reread Book Ever!
Ella Enchanted is a book I've owned for years, and whenever I get bored and don't have anything to read, I'm quick to pick it up. It's not too long, not too short, and always a delight to read. I absolutely adore this book, and I think it's a great introduction into the fantasy genre. It easily blends the original Cinderella fairy tale into a memorable story that I can see a wide audience enjoying. The romance in the story is well-developed, and the characters going from friends to lovers actually works well. This story has a wide variety of likable (dislikable) characters, and I can't recommend it enough. You won't regret picking up Ella Enchanted :).

Amazing!
I love this book! I think if your kid loves Cinderella you should introduce them to this book. One thing that might slow them down reading it is that there are lots of made-up languages in it that the words don't make any sense to read. It is all just part of the fun though. I recommend this book.

Great story for kids
The author's writing style draws you in to a fun and compelling story. Ella, the heroine, is just the right combination of relatable and admirable. A perfect story for kids grades 3-6, and older kids can just come for an easy, enjoyable read. I used to re-read this story over and over just for the fun of it:).

Warningf: THE BEST BOOK IN THE UNIVERSE ( LITERALLY!) do not read if you dont want to be enchanted and addicted to this book! LOL
I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEE THIS BOOK!!!!!! I LOVE HOW ROMANTIC IT IS! THE BEGINNING, END AND THE PART WHERE ELLAS DAD GETS REMARRIED TO DAME OLGA ARE MY FAVOURITE PARTS! the book says ages 8 and up but i think its for ages 10/11 and up because kids younger may not really understand. Ella is spunky, funny and rebellious she and char aka prince charmount go through a lot to be with each other. some parts of the end are kinda cheesy tho.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could never stop reading this book. I fell in love with it years ago and have since then managed to buy about four different copies to always have one on hand. I am pretty sure I don't even look at the words anymore, just go over the story. It is that great a book. I would recommend this to everyone. Seriously, I never give anything 5 stars, yet here we are. Such an amazing book!!!!!

Excellent
Wonderful book. This clever twist on a common fairy tale is the perfect read for all ages. I not only enjoyed reading it but loved the recording. For younger readers exspecilly it would help because of Levine’s more complex style of writing. It is a must read.

An enchanting read!
This is a truly amazing book. It weaves heart, humor, fantasy and suspense into a truly memorable read. The character development is spot on, and I felt myself getting really, really mad at a character who did Ella wrong in the book. Rarely does a book stir up THAT much emotion in me. There were also scenes where I almost cried, scenes where I cracked up, and scenes that were so exciting that I jumped when I heard a noise while reading! Please don't be warned away by the sad beginning (SPOILERS AHEAD) Ella's mom dies and she is left, heartbroken, with a father who is anything but a kindhearted man. But don't worry, it all turns out OK in the end!
