Empowering and intriguing stories
My younger daughter loves the Good Night Stories bookies. She has annotated it with sticky notes to mark the ones she likes and has read. I love that the book focuses on so many different ways to make your mark on the world - artists, scientists, teachers, politicians, activists, athletes. It shows so many examples of women and girls with agency. The vingettes are easy to digest and often leave me wanting to learn more. It's fun when we run across a biography of someone we've "met" in another context too.

Great book, bit too inspiring for bed time!
My 5yo loved me reading these stories to her. I would have to negotiate how many before bedtime, she always wanted more. A few times I thought the theme or words were inappropriate so I would exchange with my own version. She was interested in the date range when that person lived and who was alive when the we were reading about was born. We read at bedtime and she could not settle to sleep afterwards so there was a need for a 2nd book, thus the limited stories from this anthology. We will both look forward to reading this book again and again in years to come. Sorry I can't rate for children able to read themselves.
