I read this book about half a year back because it had a Lemony Snicket kind of theme, but it was so disappointing that when I saw it on this site I just had to review it.
The main character isn't someone you would look up to, as he isn't very smart and quite simpleminded and he solves the mystery primarily by chance.
The plot itself is quite simple. In a nutshell, uptight Lady Luggertuck loosens her corset and all heck breaks loose. Horten Halfpott, the innocent kitchen boy, is accused of stealing prized Luggertuck valuables and must prove his innocence and catch the real thief before it's too late.
It's not too interesting and I wouldn.t recommend it.
