Not for me

When I went to overnight camp, our counselor actually read the beginning of this book to us. It was really boring, and I fell asleep quickly. When I saw it in the bookstore a couple of weeks ago, I decided to give it another chance. Turns out, I only made it to chapter 4 before giving up! I was actually very surprised when I saw such positive views for this book. I guess that this is just not for me!

Diana Wynne Jones is a GENIUS

Much much better than the movie. Absolutely hilarious, genuine characters, and a intricate and interesting plot. Have reread many times, and highly recommend. Some fantasy violence, Howl gets drunk at one point which is super funny, a bit of romance, and characters can be rude at times (again, hilarious). Enjoy!

Great book

It's a really good book, about Sophie who annoys "the witch of the waste" and gets conjured into an old woman. She seeks help through the wizard Howl. I really recommend it and I think I love book 2 even more than the first one.

Howl's Moving Castle

The theme is you can choose what you want. Sophie is in conflict with herself. Sophie wants to choose what she wants to do in her life, on the other hand she doesnt want to tell Fanny her step mother that she doesnt want to work at her hat shop. Sophie's sister went to a boarding school, and her other sister went to work at the wizard's castle. But Sophie was worried about that.

THE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN!!!!!

I don't know WHAT you people are talking about. This is the BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I've read it 4 times! It's the first book in the Castle series and by far my favourite! The book was hilarious, well written, the characters were well developed, and the story line was perfect! The movie was good but they over did the romance a LOT. The fighting between Howl and Sophie was absolutely hilarious! I swear there is not a better book out there. You have just come across the BEST book of all time!

It was O.K.

It's an O.K. book, but it's waay too short and by the by, there's too many fighting between Sophie & Howl. I recommend the movie than the book. It has a little education and some good role models.

GREAT book!

This is my all-time favorite book! The only downfall to it is that neither of the main characters are really anyone a parent would want their kid to act like, so that's why I chose seven and above for the rating.
