Just One Day is a good book for the right ages
I came across this book, and having read some of Gayle Forman's other works, decided to give it a go. I was although surprised to find that this book was much more graphic that her other ones and I put it down faster than you could say Merry Christmas. This book has a very inappropriate part in it and I was ashamed, that even though it was accident, I had read that part. Just one day has so many insightful parts and is very well written although it is just not the kind of thing that a teenager should read.

Kids 14+ or more mature kids.
This is a great book and has taught me a lot about not being afraid to find myself and be myself, do what I want etc., but could give younger or less mature kids the wrong idea. I wouldn't give this book to anyone younger than 14, unless they were mature enough to handle sexual content (a sex scene that skips over the actual sex part, but talks of kissing and licking, etc.) and a little violence (three men harassing a few younger girls, to which Willem distracts them and Alyson throws a book at one making him bleed, then in turn gets a bottle thrown at her neck, making it bleed) and some talk of drinking (Alyson and Willem drink, but it is legal in Europe for them to drink, underage kids at college drinking) and one guy mentioned doing drugs briefly. However, only a parent and the child themselves know what they can handle.

Amazing but intimate
Parents should watch out for their kids when they are reading this book. There is a lot of swearing and a few intimate sensual scenes in the book.

For mature kids
I read this book in my school library and it is one of the most inaprropriate books I have ever read. They describe pretty deitaildly a sex scene between lulu and william, who met each other then 24 hours later, had sex!
