What's the Story?
As LITTLE BLUE TRUCK'S VALENTINE begins, Blue is beginning his rounds, delivering Valentines to all his barnyard pals: a polka-dot egg-shaped card for Hen, a pink heart card for Pig, a heart with a horseshoe on it for Horse, a yellow heart with a flower bouquet for Cow, a floating red boat with heart-shaped sails for Duck in his pond, cards with candy hearts for Goat and Sheep. "But Valentine's Day / didn't seem much fun / when he didn't get cards / from anyone." Then when Blue arrives home, he finds that his friends have a Valentine's Day surprise waiting for him.
