This book is all about Nim who lives with her dad alone on an island. Her best friend is named Fred. Fred is an iguana who LOVES coconuts. Selkie is a sea lion who treats Nim like her own pup. But what does Nim do when her father does not return from his trip out on the ocean to study plankton and some tourists try to find the island? Read to find out!

Great Beginer Novel!

I read this book when I was 9 and loved it.
It's great for ages 8 or 9.

Good for younger kids

Really good,its about a girl called Nim, she and her father live on a island by them selves, Nims dad Jack is a scientist and leaves Nim by herself when he goes out to find a new type of krill, Then problems happen on the island, what will Nim do? Read the book to find out.
