One Dark Throne is an exciting sequel to Three Dark Crowns. The story is about three sisters who must kill eachother to ultimately rule. As to be expected theres tons of violence. Stabbings and poisonings are the most common form of violence in the novel. Some parts are a little gory, but not to excessive. One of the sisters shows no mercy, and some of her acts are upsetting and could be frightening to younger readers. There are a couple fade out sex scenes, kissing, and flirting, but barely any description. The story may be somewhat disturbing to some readers, but it is a very intense and thrilling story.

Speechless.

I meant the review title. The author has stolen the words from my mouth. There is a lot of poisoning and attempted murderers from Katherine, because she's such a lovely girl. There are countless murders, poisonings, and close calls with death. However, Mirabella and Arsinoe's love and friendship for each other and their friends let a little light into this shadow filled book. Amazing prequel, couldn't have been written better.

More Intense in every way!

In every way One Dark Throne had more than the first book. More Violence, sexual content, and more great messages. It was a great read and a real page turner but also had some disturbing content including one scene where a wife accidently kills her husband because she of the poison her body gave off while having sex with her husband. If old enough AKA older than 13 or 14 depending on the person, than the book should be a wonderful read for you.
