What's the Story?

In SKELETINA AND THE GREEDY TOOTH FAIRY Skeletina lives in the in-between world of dreams with her dog Pancho. While dancing to the rhythm of a rain storm, she hears a little human girl crying. Young Olivia is scared because her teeth keep falling out, but Skeletina knows how to help. She knows the teeth are being stolen by Hada Malvada, the Tooth Fairy's greedy sister -- but, more importantly, she knows how to get them back. With cheerful advice and a bit of wisdom, Skeletina helps Olivia face her fears and right a wrong.

This delightful and cheery book pairs outstanding illustrations with a story about honesty, bravery, and a helpful way to think about nightmares. The energy in Skeletina and the Greedy Tooth Fairy leaps off the page, with Skeletina raring to go and investigate, solve, and help throughout this sweet story. The idea that honesty is important could be a heavy-handed lesson, but here in the delightful, off-kilter in-between world, lessons are fun, lively, and can give readers a way to deal with nightmares, guilt, or other scary thoughts.
