Mature, heartfelt, relatable read

I absolutely loved this book. I have recently read The Cavendish Home For Boys and Girls and have been wanting to read more, and I thought this book was perfect. Claire Legrand manages to write about heavy topics (depression, death, cancer) with her light touch and without taking up too much of the story talking about this. I also enjoyed how the author added a fantasy into this. This book attracted me from the start, because it's the kind of thing I like to read about, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone 10+.
