What's the Story?
SORCELINE, VOLUME 2 begins with a revelation of the past, with the Professor telling a story of what happened on the Isle of Vorn thirteen years past. This revelation may hold the key to Sorceline's own past, and to the mysterious happenings of the present. When a new apprentice arrives, Sorceline and the other students work together to uncover the secrets surrounding the Isle and Sorceline's past.
Is It Any Good?
The books are worth reading just for the beautiful illustrations of the magical creatures. However, the story in Sorceline, Volume 2, is as confusing as the first installment. The author tries to fit a lot into a short book, and this results in some strange leaps in time and plot. There is less romance and rivalry in this installment, but readers will enjoy finding out what happens to their favorite characters as the story continues. The art is just lovely, with a hint of manga-style characters and really stunning depictions of the world. The story ends with a cliffhanger that will have fans ready for the third volume.
