I think that this is a totally great book. I do not recommend this book to my best friend, but to anyone who does like a mystery. Even though it has a bit of smoking, I don't think that it has so much that it seems to be giving you a message, “PLEASE SMOKE”. I hope that you will have a lot of fun, curiosity, and everything you like while reading this book. It is very scary, but it was even scarier in the movie so if you are going to watch the movie and it is too scary, just think that you will be better off reading the book than watching the movie.
The scariest part was when they got chased by the goblins. Then Bilbo escaped to under the goblin town and bumped into a thing that ate goblins. It had a magic ring that makes you invisible, even though he rarely went up into goblin town, Bilbo learned a lot about him. The goblin eater sang, loved to do riddles, and had a family out there where you could see the sky. Meanwhile, up in goblin town, Bilbo's friends were getting tormented by the goblins. The goblins had made them their slaves, and while working them hard, the goblins found their swords that were used in the goblin-elven war. They finally got free, while Bilbo was frightening the guards with his invisible ring. Knowing that the goblins would turn to stone if they were outside in the sun, Bilbo’s friends hurried out in the sun to get away. Bilbo, on the other hand, was last to get outside. Bilbo’s friends were talking about their plan without food, drink, or ammunition while Bilbo sneaks up to them, with his ring on, passes the guard, and surprises them by taking his ring off suddenly and appearing. They were soo surprised that they thought that they were dreaming.
If you read this book you will find many more adventures like this one.
