Not For Modern Children!

This is just another stale, thoroughly boring collection of poetry hurriedly compiled in order for its author to make money. I guess his own books were not doing all that well, so he decided to put his name on this compilation by poets of the past. I read the majority of this tripe when I was a child - or had someone read it to me - and it's as unpalatable today as it was then. If you're looking for good poetry for really young children then pick up some Dr. Seuss books. I like Shel Silverstein also, but I do not recommend his work for children under the age of 10. And, for children of all ages I strongly recommend 'Skipping Across The Rainbow Sea' by KT Iversen.
