My favorite book!
Super great book! It's so fun and old-fashioned and has an old-timey feel without being overly confusing. This is one of my favorite books and I one hundred percent recomend.

Quirky characters and pitch black comedy in spunky, entertaining mystery.
The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place is a darkly comedic and witty read, great for any fans of strong female characters and an engaging plot. The pupils of St. Etheldreda's School for Young Ladies must deal with a small roadblock when their strict headmistress and her brother are poisoned at dinner one night. If they can't convince everyone that the headmistress is still alive and running the establishment, they will all be sent home. Concocting bizarre and daring schemes, the seven quirky ladies must solve the murders, all while burying a body and dealing with a host of concerned citizens in the bargain.
This book is a sure read for mystery lovers, combining a befuddling murder with unique characters. Each girl contributes to the overall story in an engaging way, whether it's Smooth Kitty's coolness in the face of adversity, Stout Alice with her talented impersonation skills, or Pocked Louise carrying out brilliant scientific experiments. It's hugely entertaining watching the girls band together and rise to the occasion, and each remains in your mind long after you finish.
The next time you're looking for a mystery with a slightly morbid sense of humor and vivid female characters, pick up this book! It will keep you turning pages, celebrating the girls' triumphs and groaning in sympathy at their misadventures.
Violence: The inciting incident is a double poisoning, another person is killed later, and a dog is drugged.
Sex: Flirting and romance. A man "consorts" with women.
Drinking, Drugs, and Smoking: Some alcohol use and smoking
Language: Extremely mild.
