Over reacting in the violence category
The violence is barely there, description of violence is vague, some bad words, very good. Nobody Cares about the drinking!12-year-olds can handle it. Love the strong female character.

Impressed
I believe I heard somewhere that this was this author's first book. If that is so, I am thoroughly impressed. I was worried that I wouldn't find a good book to read soon. I was mainly looking for the entertainment factor that many miss out on because they rely too heavily on plot. In a good book, I think execution is key, and the pace and characters had drawn me in by the first chapter.
I believe this is definelty worth a read if you want good world building, romance that defeats the thirst of vengeance and likeable characters that don't always make stupid choices. Give it a chance! I'm sure it'll surprise you.
