why disguise an adult book as if it was a kids book (Trilingual Review)
BEFORE I START. All of my reviews written from December 2022 onwards will have a Norwegian and Spanish Translation.
I can imagine all the kids saying "chiLl" or "yOu aRe OvErPrOteCtiVe." Even thought I'm a month away from becoming a teenager, I belive that children and teens dont need to be exposed to this content
The Internet girls, which I never read before, sounds like a cute premise for a book. we have seen Diary formats, Essay Formats and Comic formats. The idea of a Text Message format sounds intereesting and perfect for kids who dont like to read books but like to read text message. when you see this book's cover, you might think it looks nice for a 12 year old or a 13 year old. but it itsnt. I havent read this book, since I do not like things that are Inapropiate unllike the kids my age. But I was extremely shocked to find this book in my school library. The worst part, my library is a Middle AND elemeantry school library.
By looking at the cover, you see some cute emojis. Many books with emojis are marketed to kids, but the contents of this book is horrifying. why would a school aproove this? Be careful. if you see this book at a library or book fair and you think for yourself "This book is great for my daughter" dont get it

Parents (and kids), chill out!
Seriously guys, it isn't as drastic as portrayed in the reviews. I read this in fourth grade (nine years old) and I was fine and understood everything. Kids know a lot more than they let on! I do agree, it can be situational, but overall everyone's making it out to be a heck of a lot worse than it actually is. Notes: This book has a lot of swearing, mostly meant to be seen as comical, so just keep that in mind. There is talk about sexuality and a few mentions of underage drinking. But overall the message is that friends are always there for each other and pick them over anyone else. I'd say the MOST sheltered child could see it at age 13.

It's all a learning experience!
It is a great book for young adults to learn about the dangers of drugs, sex, etc. It takes on both sides of the arguments and informs about these things while teens enjoy the story of high-schoolers and the make-it or break-it friendships. I STRONGLY recommend this book!

Be mature about it.
So first of all, I want to say this book IS innapropriate. It has swears, sex, drugs, and drinking. This doesn't mean tweens shouldn't read it. In fact, I thought it was a pretty good book. For parents, if you aren't going to let your tween or teenager read it because it has too much swears, well you may as well be homeschooling them as well, because this book isn't even close to how bad the stuff is I hear at school. And I'm only in grade 8. Either way, this book is meant for mature young adults, and I suggest this book to highschoolers who may or may not be going through the same thing these girls went through.

Great book
I personally love this book- it's awesome! I read it when I was in 6th grade (yes, what has society come to) which is probably a little young, but it was no big deal.
Parents always freak out about stuff like this, not wanting to teach their kids anything that they don't want them to know. But, if your child is in 7th grade, there's no way they won't know about all of this stuff already.
