What's the Story?

In TUCK EVERLASTING: THE GRAPHIC NOVEL, Winnie Foster, a 10-year-old girl bored of her picture-perfect life, desires to run away from her home in Treegap to see the world. One day, after hearing a mysterious melody her grandmother attributes to elves, a strange man stops by her house to question her family about their forest and after her grandmother sends him away, Winnie takes off to the wood to find the elves. While there, she encounters Jesse Tuck, a 17-year-old boy, drinking from a spring. He cautions her from drinking any of the water, revealing that the spring keeps his family immortal. To keep their secret, his family takes Winnie home with them, unaware that the strange man has been tracking them. He tricks Winnie's family into giving him their wood in exchange for Winnie's return and once he arrives at the Tucks' home and threatens to tell their secret, Mae knocks him out in response. She is promptly arrested and Jesse enlists Winnie's help to stop their secret from being revealed. Will Winnie be able to help protect the Tucks or will their secret be revealed?
