An intriguing investigation drama continues the Ace Attorney series
Ace Attorney Investigations is the fifth game in the wonderful Ace Attorney saga. In this game, you take the role of Phoenix's arch-enemy Miles Edgeworth to investigate crime scenes and find the true killer.
Although it holds a remarkably different gameplay idea, cross-examinations and many other concepts from the previous games still remain. Although you do not go to court except in a flashback case, the game makes up for it in gameplay and plot.
As with any Ace Attorney game, a significant amount of intelligence is required to be able to play the game, but there are several walkthroughs available online for this game, so if you are worried about that, still, this game should be considered.
Violence is the occasional body. Blood is not seen much in this game, aside from a possible bloody object or blood stain from bodies, however, when people are exposed as the true killer, they sometimes have violent breakdowns. One main character frequently whips people.
This game holds significantly fewer women with revealing outfits. Although there are some, they aren't as common as they are in some of the games. There really isn't much to comment on this matter.
Language is hardly used at all, aside from a few select points. In fact, I have yet to come across (or don't remember) any language.
The worst drinking thing I've found was simply a bar that can be examined while investigating. Drugs and smoking aren't really even mentioned.
Since this is a game in a virtual world, there is no consumerism.
There are a few positive role models, as long as you're looking for the right person to look up to. For instance, you wouldn't want to be looking up to a murderer, but a man who exposes murderers and the truth.
The same goes for positive messages. Like the Commonsensemedia review stated, this game is centered around proving that innocent people are proven innocent, the guilty are proven guilty, etc.
This game is very easy to play. You mainly hit one button to scroll text, another to look through your evidence, and another to ask for more information from a witness or to find flaws in their statement with the evidence.
I'd say this is alright for about 11 year olds, as long as they understand how the game works.

if u dont have this game buy it now before they discontinue it (believe me they do that a lot)
great game overall, but some parts might be too scary. there are plenty of dead bodies in this game, and everytime I know I'm about to see one I close my eyes and slowly open them up. You can see the wounds to, but theres nothing gory, just bloody. This game makes the gamer think critically on how the person got murdered. Then they have to present evidence contradicting the witnesses testimony. Some parts have a tiny bit of swearing (for example in the last chapter it kinda caught me off guard but lang zi shouted B*ST*RD to the witness) but thats about as far as it goes. miles edgeworth himself is a great role model, fighting for truth and justice. and he always puts the bad guys behing bars. great game, highly reccomend it.

Fun and Easy game!
Anyone with skill could easily play this game. It is challenging in some parts, but that's what makes it fun! I finished all the Ace Attorney series games. I'm just waiting for the new ones!

Great mystery and crime game
This is an excellent game and i would recomend it for anyone who enjoys crime or mystery games and movies. The game shows bodies at crimes scenes. Most of these bodies have blood on and around them and there is blood on other objects as well. However, the blood is animated and the bodies are not to graphic. There is alot of talk about murder and how the crimes were commited. Some cutscenes and pictures depict characters fighting and one depicts a character being shot, though it is very dark and the shot is not really shown. There was also some mild language. Overall I would say this game is fine for older tweens and teenagers, but it is one that adults would enjoy to.

Good for older kids.
I'm not putting that because of violence, Its because there is SO MUCH dialogue. A younger kid (10-12) would be bored stiff unless they like reading. There are very complexed puzzles and things to work out. And can get frustrating if you KEEP getting it wrong. Because you have to restart. Violence is minimal, The blood looks like Strawberries as the graphics on DS are crap. Not much swearing. Well its ok for 10+ if they like reading, if not 15+
