Great Game

Definitely one of the more older audience DiRT games along with DiRT Showdown. Many of the songs do contain alcohol and sexual themes. However these can be turned off if you really are against them. As for the violence, the vehicles can lose body panels, but will not deform significantly in the driver's area.

Exploring the Depths of Multiple Off-Road Motorsports

DiRT 2 is more than just a simcade rally racer. It's filled to the brim with multiple Off-road race types. Rally to Rallycross, Dune buggy races to Trophy Truck circuit races, Rally Raid and more. Violence is occasional. You can crash into opponents' cars, showing some damage. Cars also flip when not landing properly. In cockpit view, when flipping, your driver gets into position to prevent hurting him or herself. When hitting a solid obstacle, you can here the navigator/Co-driver grunt and say "Ouch." Mildly suggestive lyrics, referencing drugs and innuendo.

Dirt 2 review

It's a game about rally cars. It is from 2009 though, so the cars used in this game are not the same as used today, such as the VW Polo (Used today). Still a fun game though, but needs experience, as there are no assists, at least on my version. Fun game overall. But i'd watch out for trolls and inappropriate people on the online multiplayer, but the multiplayer can easily be avoided while still having fun racing other people on the singleplayer.

Good game with amazing graphics, 11+

This is a really good game, the graphics are amazingly detailed. It takes a while to get used to the realistic handling of the cars but once you do it's an amazing game which is challenging without being too hard.

Excellent Rally Racer but wait for Dirt 3...

Dirt 2 is an excellent Rally Racer. The graphics are extremely good yet do not require a massively expensive system to run. There is a very large choice of cars, with many customization options. There are also several modes, such as pure rally or races. There is online interaction, so it's not particularly appropriate for younger children, but teens should be able to deal with it. The soundtrack is quite good, but it does contain a little swearing. My main concern with the game is that the interface is very OTT, i.e. it's an overly complex and time consuming business simply getting into a race. I would recommend it, but the sequel Dirt 3 is coming out very, very soon and it has a lot more features and rally content, so I'd wait for that.

Online AGAIN problem

There is some crashing in this game. Aggresive intentional crashes. but there is lots of language online which makes it bad for online.
