After patches its quite playable.

Even enjoyable time to time. Still lacks technical polish, inspired side quests, and interesting story tho. The several smaller open worlds have plenty of character and traversability to make firefights varied. AI is pretty dumb bit lethal. Main missions can get intense. Stealth is near broken. If 1 guy sees you THEY ALL DO.Repetition expected of genre. Could have more inventive stronghoods to conquer (they are all the freakin same!). Good gunplay, decent graphics. Enimeies emit large blood sprays that stain walls and floors when shot. Knife slashings, slit throats are constant and bloody. Some bloody cutscenes. Legions of gory corpses litter the environments. Constant F words.

Mediocre but fine

Homefront is a troubled series. It stars you as a freedom fighter in a NK controlled America. While it has an interesting premise, it fails to deliver in almost every regard. It's buggy, slow and really dull. A shame after the first one. It features a similar level of violence to other mainstream triple A shooters such as COD. Except, due to you being a freedom fighter and not a one many army, the amount of killing is decidedly less. Rarely, near the beginning of the game, you might come across some civilian executions, however, in my play through, I came across none and the ones that happened to others were very tame and, honestly, boring. Dark themes are spread lightly through the game. It's said quite frequently about how your numbers are dwindling and that you-as a resistances- are getting killed. Language is one of the most prominent issues. it has a similar amount to COD but the difference is, in COD, whole strings of swear words never end while in here, they're frequent but they stop after one word. Drugs and sex aren't a factor. Overall, it's a pretty bad game but it should be fine for a mature 13yr old, or at the very least, a very mature 12yr old.
