This is the best game for your violent kids.
This game is really good for your kids if they don't like other games with upgrades and all that other stuff. If your kid is one of those kids that play violent games, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 is the best choice. Now I know most parents say that this game is not for kids, but it is. Trust me, if your kid grows violent from these kinds of games, please teach them to not do what they did in the game. I am a kid myself too! My parents are fine with me playing the game, as long as I never learn to kill people with all the knowledge I have learned about this game. Your kids can even get addons and mods to change up the game into some more fun! Such as changing the characters to minecraft, changing the guns and zombies into minecraft, and more! I recommend this game for ages 9 and up! Maybe someday, your kid will be able to learn to defend themselves from this game. I don't think it ever swears, only if you shoot either of your teammates. I would also recommend to NEVER PLAY ONLINE WITH STRANGERS. Unless they are your steam friend or they are in your group. If you are one of those people good! If you like playing with AI, then go to singleplayer!

GREAT GAME
Left 4 Dead is a great game with many role models and is not at all gory or violent. The survivors have to all work as a team to survive the infection and fend of the hordes of infected. They persist and never leave a teammate behind (unless you play online). Bill is the leader and father-figure of the group as he is the oldest and most experienced, he will do anything to make sure his group gets to safety whatever the consequences. Louis is the positive and optimistic teammate who always tries to motivate the group with jokes and compliments. Francis is the macho and rough character but he will defend and help anybody in need. Zoey is the youngest of the team and the only girl in the group but she packs a punch and cares about her friends as if they were family. The blood and gore is not very detailed and pretty much non-existent. Parents may worry about gore and violence but the survivors only kill to stay alive and the infected are barely human any more. There are a variety of infected with various abilities that make you adapt the way you play. However, there are a small number of weapons you can use compared to most other shooter games. There is absolutely no nudity but for some reason people claim there is, that is false. There are swear words like sh*t but that is the worst word you will hear and I'm sure everybody has heard the word sh*t before. Playing shooter games in general does not turn your kid into a psychopathic murderer. I played this game first when I was 10 and I loved it. To sum up this game is great and fine for mature kids age 9 and above.

The game is very much enjoyable, consistent, easy to learn gameplay, simple experience, while being challenging, enthralling, though a bit mature with some decent gore and occasional swearing.

Better playing with friends or on LAN
Left 4 Dead is a horror shooter that mixes multiplayer features. You can play co-op with friends online or on LAN. Violence is the main factor is very frequent. While shooting zombies and trying to survive, blood and gore is the result. Use of decapitation dismemberment is occassional. Strong language is moderate; use of @$$, b!#ch, f#!k and $h!t.

Great game! Not that bad! Just some violence and language.
There is a pretty good amount of blood. But nothing a mature 12 year old couldn't handle. I started playing this game when I was about 7. It scared the heck out of me. I am now 14 and it doesn't really scare me, only in parts. But there is a decent amount of cursing. Not that much. It really depends how the game is played. If a person gets down a lot, the character will most likely say "sh*t". And stuff like that. But not that much cussing. A lot less than most Pg-13 movies nowadays. It's a great game and should definitely let your kid play it. It's awesome!

Graphics date game.
You play as 1 of 4 characters trying to survive the zombies. The game promotes teamwork. It controls nicely. Yes there is a lot of violence but it is a zombie game(what do you expect) and there is some gore but the graphics date it. There is no sexual content in the entire game. During the first and only cutscene (as far as I'm aware) s**t is used twice I believe, and the only other thing is that one of the characters is seen smoking.

Left 4 Dead
AWESOME GAME!!!!!! No sex. Bill smokes a ciggarette. Some bloody zombie violence, when a zombie is shot with a strong weapon its head will explode, when a zombie is pounced on you it tries to rip your guts out... Also a good amount of language such as ass, son of a b!tch, godd#mn, sh!t, no uses of the f word. If it were a movie it would be rated PG-13 for language, bloody horror violence, and some smoking. iffy for 8 and under
