What’s It About?
PAC-MAN AND GALAGA DIMENSIONS brings two of the most heralded arcade games of all time in 3D for the first time. In Pac-Man, players move a yellow circle-shaped character through labyrinth-like mazes in order to collect all the dots within each maze. In Galaga, players pilot a tiny spaceship that must shoot down even tinier creatures and objects, all of which are aligned in perfect, orderly columns. The games are all about repeating simple controls over and over to achieve the highest score possible, but because of the accessible gameplay and the addicting feeling that it's always possible to do better next time, players can spend hours without getting bored.
Is It Any Good?
Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions is a faithful recreation of the classic arcade titles Pac-Man and Galaga. Although these iconic games have been remade and re-released countless times over the years, this is the first time they have been made in 3D. The new visual style adds excitement and a new vibe to the experience, which is augmented by the completely remade versions of each title as well. The concepts are simple, but the always looming quest for a higher score means they never get old, and it's hard to find two games that fit that mold better than the ones in this compilation.
