Their is no positive message, and I myself (tho I get way too caught up in things) have had to stop for a while because I got too stressed. Me and my ten year old brother both play, and while their is violence, their is no dismemberment like the game says. The players are sometimes half nude, but they get killed relatively fast and are small on the already small-ish screen. The skill tree and armor can be hard to grasp, but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it

Path of Exile

This game is a great RPG, but might not be best for younger kids, not only because of the grim setting but because it is a hard game to min-max, with many different builds and even more noob traps than any game i have seen before. However, its not that bad of a game from a mature standpoint, and i say 13 because i'm not sure someone younger than that could understand how to play
