Great to make abominations with 💅💅✨✨
I played this game a lot as a child, I had so many planets with my awesome creations. The space stage was kinda boring as a kid so I never finished the game, if there is and end, there probably is.

Kids might not care for the strategy aspect
The creature creator is really fun, but kids might get bored by the tribal stage. Other than that it's a very nice game, and you don't need the boatloads of DLC to enjoy it (unlike some other EA games.....)

It's fun and creative, the character are very expressive. Ghrapics are dated.

Teaches about evolution
If you want to learn about evolution or teach your kids, this is the perfect game. I'd not recommend it to super religous people (I'm Christian) It shows a pathway of life, and shows how species can evolve. But, there are creation that have private parts to um... look at it...

MY FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME!!!
This PC game from the creators of sims is absolutely fantastic! It is a colorful, fun, and creative masterpiece! You get to create your very own creatures, architecture, vehicles, and colonies! I played this game when I was a little boy and I loved it. Before you let your kid play though, first know that it does not require Wi-Fi so there is no privacy or safety concerns. The controls and everything is really easy to figure out. There also is some mildly violent stuff. In creature stage you attack animals and eat them. There is also spaceships exploding and missile fights. There's no real sexual content. Creatures mate but they don't actually make them do it, it's just obvious. There's not really language although there is some name calling including "Limbless space slugs". Overall I think this game is a lot of fun and you should definitely give it a try!

Spore: The Great Evolution Sim!
From Maxis, the company behind the Sims, did something new in 2008! If you are anti-Charles Darwin, than this game is definitely not for you, lots of evolution from microbes to space explorers. You can interact with species, including battling them, causing them to rival you.
Violence: All distinguishable from real life and involving non-humans. You can go on raid and kill non-threats, use arrows, apocalyptic missiles, and pew pew death rays, but only if you want to be the villain, the other species get negative on you if you do that.
Blood: All really cartoon. Colorful blood when you kill or eat the monsters. Mischief: You can make an herbivore eat meat (or vice versa) and make them barf, but that they are not restoring hunger.

Evolution simulation is the best game ever made!
This game is the best ever made! It simulates evolution. You can create a creature, evolving from a single-celled organism to a spacefaring empire. Violence can appear, usually bloodless fights between animals, explosions, and sci-fi shootings. Creatures can poison each other, and single-celled organisms explode into cartoon blood. Creatures do suggestive dances before laying eggs. It has too expansion packs (Spore Creepy and Cute Parts and Spore Galactic Adventures), which are expensive and impressive. Online mode can contain vulgar and offensive creatures made by other players (Sporn), and hateful comments. Also very glitchy, but also awesome! 5 stars.

This is a great game. It teaches lots of evolution and the food chain, while being fun in the process!
