What’s It About?
THE SIMS 3: SHOWTIME - KATY PERRY COLLECTOR'S EDITION is an expansion pack to The Sims 3. It includes dozens of new items for players to use in decorating their virtual homes. It also includes a new space that players can venture to outside of their home. This space focuses entirely on concerts and performances. In the venue, players can choose to become a musician, a DJ, an acrobat, or any of a number of other performers. This version of the Showtime expansion also includes a special concert stage themed after Katy Perry, along with exclusive items like a guitar, poster, stage props, and more. Players have an active part in helping their Sims characters reach stardom and fame, giving this expansion a whole new gameplay mechanic for those who want their character to have a career in the limelight.
Is It Any Good?
The Sims 3: Showtime - Katy Perry Collector's Edition somewhat breaks the mold of The Sims 3 in the way players develop their virtual characters' professional life. Those who are interested in turning their virtual head of the household into a star performer will be able to climb the ladder of success, going from sparsely-attended shows to ones that pack a full house and everything in between. This expansion packs adds another layer of depth to the actual gameplay experience, making it worthwhile because it keeps the base game fresh and interesting. The addition of Katy Perry content makes this a great addition to the game for anyone who is a Katy Perry fan, although those who aren't will be more than content with the standard Showtime expansion.
