Fun, mysterious and redemptive.

My 11 year old loves it and I did also. The kids and youth in the movie show great team work and encouragement to each other. Good mystery till the very end and the breaking of the generational cycle of bad father/ son relationship was restored to connection .. two thumbs up for us and we want to see more please.

Excellent!!!

I can't tell you how many times we've watched this as a family! Good plot. Half of the actors are good. Many quotable lines! Wish there were more Ace Wonder movies. Love stuff where we don't have to worry about there being language and sexual innuendoes. A must see if you have these values!

Good Clean Family Movie.

Family movie about a Grandfather leaving a mystery for his grandson to solve after his death. His grandson chooses to follow the clues despite his father's frustration and annoyance with the whole situation. A mix of live action and graphic novel. Ok acting but squeaky clean fun.

I wish they’d make more!!!

I am disappointed that it receives such low reviews by common sense media. I’m surprised actually. It makes me question what they would consider a good movie. They really missed it on this one.

The whole family liked it.

We thought the pace was adequate, the acting was on par or better for a kids' movies, the story was fun, character development was better than most kids' movies and we will watch it again. This review is mostly on response to a few others' poor review of the movie which we find unfounded. The violence that is reported is no more than most any Disney movie which they probably have rave reviews. Check it out for yourself. We hope a sequel is made.

Fluffy family fun!

While not amazing, the one star from the Common Sense reviewer seems off to me, as does the "10 and up" suggestion. (It looks to me as if this particular reviewer isn't suited to reviewing films for younger kids.) It is good enough that I immediately looked for a sequel. It's wholesome family fare that features a precocious boy detective and features family values. If you are wishing for something of about the flavor and caliber of a Nancy Drew novel or Disney's older live action films, for example, you will be pleased. Not everything needs to be Great Cinema. Sweet family fun!

Great Family Kids Movie

Ace Wonder is a fun family mystery movie with a nicely designed plotline. While you won’t get the “flashiness” of a Disney movie, you will get good, positive messages that I can guarantee you will be able to relate to in some sense.
