Heartwarming and useful
This film, while it has some tough moments as described by CSM, shows a young man and plenty of children and adults trying to do the right thing or just being age-appropriate. It reveals how things are not as simple as they look and people are imperfect, without being all good or evil. It's more positive than realistic in some ways and the constable is a stereotype of meanness. I love the messages of compassion for my impressionable children, including turning a bully into a friend.
