Exciting Japanese anime movie based off of a Chinese legend is fun for the family.

Alakazam is a Japanese cartoon (also known as "anime") based off of the Chinese legend Journey to the West. It features the main character, the monkey king, named Alakazam who must escort a monk to India to fetch Buddhist scriptures. There's not any bad language, but Alakazam once calls Hercules "Jerkules". One character that they later befriend is a cannibal, but never ate anyone in the movie. There is action and violence, but it's all cartoony. Some characters are in peril at times, but they are often saved. All in all, Alakazam is a great movie for the whole family, and is fine for kids.
