What's the Story?

In ALL HALLOWS' EVE, what should have been a regular night for babysitter Sarah (Katie Maguire) turns into a nightmare when she discovers a VHS tape in one of the children's bags. The tape contains three scary short films connected by the presence of a killer clown. As the night progresses, the horrors in the film begin to become a reality.

Is It Any Good?

Horror films traditionally celebrate the legacy and history of the genre by including references and nods to other works within this specific type of art. The gory All Hallows' Eve does that effectively by including three different short films from various horror sub-genres into a home invasion narrative in which a babysitter must protect a household from a vicious, murderous clown. Director Damien Leone relishes in using genre tropes to deliver a film that combines gore, dark humor, and slasher elements seamlessly.

It's likely that younger viewers, just like the kids in the film, might want a taste of the thrills in the film, which in return are likely to haunt their nightmares, so watching with caution is advisable. Adults will enjoy the jump scares, groan with the gore scenes, and yell at the heroine to run away or look behind her as the film celebrates its position among recent horror cult classics.
